If you lead HR, people strategy, or organizational culture, you are in a unique position.

You do not just see the policies, job descriptions, and stated values.

You see how people actually experience the organization, and where the official version of work begins to separate from reality.

That is why I enjoyed my conversation with Nicole Greer, CEO, CSP, PPCC, MSOD on the Build a Vibrant Culture Podcast.

We talked about something HR professionals are going to encounter more and more:

AI does not just change how people work.

It helps reveal how work was already getting done.

David Dean joins Nicole Greer on Build a Vibrant Culture Podcast

Every organization has a documented operating model: the policies, processes, values, and roles leaders formally establish.

Then there is the behavioral operating system: the relationships, workarounds, hidden steps, and judgment calls that actually keep the organization moving.

Much of that lived reality now leaves a record in emails, meetings, messages, calendars, and transcripts. AI can help people and organizations examine those patterns, recognize blind spots, and better understand where communication, authority, workload, trust, or psychological safety may be affecting the work.

We also discussed why AI should be introduced as a companion rather than a replacement.

Employees need breathing room to think, learn, exercise judgment, solve problems creatively, and use the lived experience they were hired for.

That is why HR should help lead AI adoption. Culture, trust, employee experience, and human behavior cannot be added after the technology strategy is complete.

They are part of the strategy.

Because AI will not automatically repair a dysfunctional organization.

Without organizational self-awareness, it may simply industrialize the dysfunction already there.

That is the thinking behind An Inbox Between Us, and it is where Nicole and I spent our time.

If your role is helping people and organizations navigate AI, accountability, culture, leadership, or meaningful workplace change, I think you will enjoy the conversation.

A sincere thank you to Nicole Greer, CEO, CSP, PPCC, MSOD for the opportunity. It was a real pleasure to join you and explore what AI may help us see about our organizations and ourselves.
