The LaGuardia crash last week is still on my mind.
An Air Canada jet collides with a fire truck on landing. Both pilots are killed. Dozens injured. And in the middle of all of it, the pilot on that plane made split-second decision that helped people survive.
That is the thread running through my latest piece.
AI is getting smarter. It will keep getting smarter. But there is a category of decision-making it cannot touch, and it starts with lived experience, consequence, and the weight of accountability in the moment that counts.
This is one of the core themes in my book, and it is more relevant right now than ever.
